About us

India is a country that is rich in biodiversity and is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna. However, the rapid pace of urbanization, industrialization, and deforestation has had a significant impact on the environment. The destruction of natural habitats, pollution, and climate change have led to the extinction of several species of animals and plants. Aashirwad Pashu and Pakshi Sansthan aims to reverse this trend by preserving and restoring the ecological balance. Aashirwad Pashu and Pakshi Sansthan was founded by Chinmay Agnihotri with a mission to implement effective solutions for ecological restoration using technology and manpower in tandem to accomplish effective recovery of natural habitat in areas where it is most needed. We are a company registered under Section 80G and 12A of the Income Tax Act.

Our

GOALs

1

Working towards habitat restoration, especially for birds and animals in regions with declining green cover.

3

Spread awareness for the correct ways of planting and nurturing habitat through talks, interaction with communities, authorities and campaigns to raise awareness about the importance of ecological conservation.

2

Promote scientific ways of plantation activity which result in effective outcomes, starting from picking the right species and correct seasons.

4

Collaborate with scientific institutes and professionals to improve an overall understanding of India’s diverse habitats.

Our methodology

We rely on state-of-the art technology to achieve our objectives when it comes to plantation activities. One of our key methods of working is drone-based plantation.

After selecting a particular region and the endemic species associated with the habitat, we use the seeds and combine them with organic matter to create seed balls for aerial dispersion, which eliminates the need for ploughing and digging holes in the soil and the seeds do not need to be planted, since they are already surrounded by soil, nutrients, and microorganisms. The clay shell of these pellets along with the other items in the mixture also protects them from birds, ants and rats.

We own a custom made drone with a payload capacity of 10 kgs, which can disperse a high quantity of seeds in multiple flights. After iteratively seeding, we also monitor the region to check up on the growth across various timeframes.

‘Our projects currently include a mangrove plantation drive in Sarod Village, Gujarat. In this region of the Gulf of Khambhat, we have dispersed a substantial quantity of Avicenna Marina, a mangrove species in the state of Gujarat. Currently we are in the monitoring phase and taking steps to ensure a good growth rate. In the region of Sattal, Uttarakhand, a famous birding paradise affected frequently by forest fires, we have successfully planted multiple tree species endemic to the region like Himalayan Oak, Deodar, Hisalu etc. The growth rate of our plantation drive, which consisted of more than a thousand plants, has been very high, leading to a substantial increase of green cover in the region.
